A trip to Soviet-era Vilnius with the 7th trolleybus

A lot has been written about Vilnius in a so-called "top down” matter, meanwhile there are few interviews with citizens of Vilnius who have been living here since the Soviet era whose thoughts about the city have either remained unexpressed, unheard and therefore – lost to history – even though the former generations were in large part responsible for living (and creating) an important chapter of the capital’s history. The goal of this project was to showcase the personal everyday tribulations and memories associated with the city, its infrastructure, neighborhoods and simply everyday life. Do people look at their city differently now, after the country’s political regime change in the 1990s? For these stories, we will “hop” onto the 7th trolleybus route, the most popular trolleybus route leading citizens and guests from the Central Station through the city center towards the newer residential neighborhoods.
